Sagamore Middle School's Student Government and National Junior Honor Society have worked together to raise money for ALS Ride For Life. Together with Sachem High School East, we have hosted assemblies and walks with the community. Participants at Sagamore have raised thousands of dollars, and we're hopeful to raise even more this year! With the help of teachers and students at East, we have developed a relationship with Chris Pendergast, the ALS Ride For Life Founder, and have continued to work with his wife, Christine Pendergast, Barbara Brown, and Paul Weissman (person living with ALS), as they continue to carry the torch in the fight for a cure. This year, we are opening this opportunity up to all Sagamore students and hope to raise more to support this great cause!
