As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible connections we’ve built together in our fight against ALS. Your unwavering support has been a guiding light, making this journey more manageable amid its many challenges.

We are thrilled to announce that our President, Ray Manzoni has been honored with the Good Neighbor Award by the National Association of Realtors, a network of 1.5 million members. As part of this recognition, Ray received a $10,000 donation for ALS Ride For Life. This prestigious award not only celebrates Ray’s extraordinary dedication but also highlights the strength and compassion of our entire community. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who voted for him.

This award comes at a poignant time as we honor the fifth anniversary of our founder, Christopher Pendergast’s passing. His legacy inspires us to support families in need, so they can focus on cherished moments together without financial stress, especially as the holiday season approaches.

Your generosity—through donations, volunteering, or sharing our mission—directly benefits people living with ALS. 95¢ of every dollar donated (based on administration costs) goes to patient services, research, and awareness building, ensuring your contributions make a real difference. Our Mobility Matters Program continues to be a crucial part of our work, helping individuals with ALS access vital wheelchair-friendly transportation. Thanks to your support, we’ve delivered 15 vans to ALS families across Long Island, and our rental program has provided over 1,400 days of rentals to families nationwide—highlighting the powerful impact of your kindness.

Our Home Modification Grants help individuals maintain safety and mobility at home by funding essential modifications, such as accessible bathrooms and ramps.
